Independent preparation tools

Your Legal Pit is the operator of this Colorado-based website, available nationwide. It is not a law firm, a bar association referral service, or a court. The current release offers free self-directed organization, structured drafting, research notes, checklists, and links to independent legal-help resources. It provides general information, not advice tailored to your legal rights or obligations.

Your review and decisions

You supply the facts and decide what to include, send, or share. Drafts may be incomplete or unsuitable for a particular jurisdiction or dispute. Check accuracy, the recipient, applicable law, required notices, deadlines, and supporting documents before using a draft. Obtain qualified legal advice when needed.

The platform does not assess a claim’s merits, calculate limitation periods, authenticate evidence, check citation validity, or guarantee a result. Court-preparation checklist completion means only that you marked the items reviewed.

No automated sending or filing

Downloading a document is not sending a demand, serving legal process, filing a lawsuit, or retaining a lawyer. Those are separate actions with their own requirements. No court, company, or lawyer receives your case from these preparation tools.

Independent legal help

Directory links are provided for convenience. Your Legal Pit does not endorse individual providers or promise availability, a response, or representation. Confirm licensing, relevant experience, costs, conflicts, and scope directly with any lawyer. An attorney–client relationship depends on your agreement with that lawyer.

Accounts and stored work

Use an email address you control and keep verification codes private. Signing in permits you to save one workspace to your account. Account saving is optional and separate from browser saving. Keep a downloaded backup of important work. You may delete your saved copy or your account through the site. Review the privacy notice before saving sensitive material. Saving a case is not a request for legal advice or a submission for lawyer review.

Responsible use

Use the workspace for accurate, good-faith preparation and lawful resolution of disputes. Do not impersonate a lawyer, invent facts or legal authorities, or use the tools for threats or harassment. Keep private information secure and share only what is appropriate for the purpose.

Jurisdiction and access

Resource links focus on U.S. civil matters. State, federal, local, and international requirements differ. The availability of this website in a place does not mean a particular form, draft, or procedure is suitable there.

The website does not accept payments or create a contract for legal representation. Lawyer-interest enquiries do not guarantee participation, matching, or available pro bono assistance. For questions about these terms, email legal@yourlegalpit.com.
